GoNoodle Videos and Chromecast

GoNoodle's Video Apps for Android and iOS now support casting via Chromecast!

NEW for iOS 14: A new dialog box is shown directly after launching the app for the first time since updating your iOS. You must press OK on this prompt because if you decline the modal you will not be able to use any Chromecast/AirPlay functionality.

If you have already declined this prompt, if you go to Settings > GoNoodle App, You should be able to toggle “Local Network” to enable this feature again.

When using GoNoodle Videos app on your iOS or Android device, you will now see the Chromecast icon in the top right next to the Search magnifying glass icon or when you are watching a video.

Once you click that icon, you will see this box appear to choose which Chromecast device you wish to cast to:

You can also cast directly from a video by clicking the Chromecast icon in the top right and you'll be able to control the video via a screen like this:

For further information and troubleshooting steps for Chromecast, learn more from Google about casting here. If you're still stuck, please reach out to GoNoodle Support via the contact option on this page. We are happy to help!

FYI - There are no current plans to make GoNoodle Games app work with Chromecast due to its special movement technology that relies on the device's camera.
