Clear Your Cookies

Clearing cookies in your browser can remove old data or settings that are causing you trouble when you log in.

Clearing Cookies

If you are having trouble with a "hang tight" message or logging in, the first thing to try would be clearing your cookies.

Clearing the cookies (or cache) varies by browser. Follow the instructions below for the appropriate browser to clear your history, then restart your browser by closing it and reopening. You will need to log in again to try using the games.

Google Chrome

  1. Click the Tools menu. (the three dots in the right, near your address bar)
  2. Click History.
  3. This will open a new tab or window.  Click Clear Browsing Data...
  4. Check the boxes for the types of information you wish to delete. Make sure you choose the password and cookies (and cache if directed to do so) options.
  5. Click Clear Browsing Data when ready.
  6. Close the browser and restart.

Internet Explorer

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, click Safety, and then click Delete browsing history.
  2. Choose the types of data or files you want to remove from your PC, and then click Delete.
  3. Make sure the Temporary Internet Files and Cookies boxes are checked.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Exit the browser and restart.

Firefox

  1. Click the settings bars (three lines) to the right of the address bar.
  2. Click History.
  3. Click Clear Recent History...
  4. Click the Cookies, Cache, Active Logins options are checked.
  5. Click Clear Now before closing the window and exiting the browser.

Safari

  1. Click the Safari menu option..
  2. Click Clear history.
  3. Select the time frame you want to clear.
  4. Click Clear history.
  5. Close browser and restart.
Note: It is often necessary to exit and close all browser windows after clearing your local cache in order for changes take effect.
